When replacing a window, proper measurements are crucial, and even minor errors can compromise how well your new window fits. This is why we strongly recommend having a professional take measurements for your window. However, if you’re still interested in taking your own window measurements, you’ll want to measure:
- Horizontal width: Take three measurements: top, middle, and bottom. After taking these measurements, you’ll want to use the smallest of the three numbers.
- Vertical height: Again, take three measurements: left, middle, and right, and use the smallest number as your final measurement.
- Depth: Be sure to take this measurement on all sides of your window.
